What is Serrapeptase? Serrapeptase also known as Serratia Peptidase. The Serratia Peptidase enzymes where originally found in silkworm intestines, which allowed the silkworm to dissolve the cocoon and emerge with no harmful effects. How does it work? Clinical studies show Serrapeptase has a strong fibrinolytic (helps disperse blood clots), anti-inflammatory and anti-edemic (also known as edema, fluid retention and swelling) properties. Serrapeptase also has pain reduction properties, because of its ability to block pain-inducing amines. How should I take Serrapeptase? Suggested use is; take 1-2 capsules at bedtime. You may also empty the capsule into mouth and swallow with water. Are there any side-effects? Is it safe? Serrapeptase effects only non-living tissue (such as blood clots and arterial plaque). Serrapeptase has no inherent effects on prostaglandin's and is devoid of gastrointestinal side-effects (such as ulcers). Serrapeptase is standard treatment in Germany and many other European countries for treatment of inflammation, swelling and pain relief. Also commonly used in Asia as an arterial plaque remover. |
